Today I feel super dizzy at work. And I've got nothing to do, really feel like going home earlier. But can't do. I think I'm in need of something sweet. And I'm sure Starbucks' blueberry muffin will do. I've just tried them couple of days ago. It tasted good, especially if you eat it while it's still warm. It has this softly crisp texture on the outside and super soft muffin dough on the inside. And it gives just the right sweetness!

why i don't like eating out on friday night
It is because usually several restaurants will no longer serve certain menus (especially the favorites ones) after 8 pm. And this what happened when I hang out with my bestfriend on January 6th. We went to Mr.Pancake in Setiabudi after seeing Jack & Jill which I think is the least funny comedy ever of Adam Sandler. And since we were not so hungry, when the waiter said that they're running out of tuna pasta, we decided not to order any main course. We just ordered french fries and chocolate pancake. It is too bad that the lighting was not too bright making the photo looks less interesting.

expect the unexpected
There is a sushi stall near my house. My boyfriend had asked me to eat there several times as he saw that the stall is always packed with people. And last night, we finally had a dinner in there. I did not expect much since the stall is pretty small and simple. But, I was a little surprised knowing there is a name plate of the stall which is Rumah Sushi (literally means house of sushi in Indonesian), and as I read on the menu, there are actually several stalls of Rumah Sushi in other places. Opening the menu, I find that the various sushi served are tempting. We ordered three kinds of sushi namely Bella Luna Roll (tuna pizza, melting cheese with salad and extra spicy mayonnaise), Phoenix Roll (ebi tempura with medium spicy mayonnaise, topped and sprinkled with paprika powder) and Salmon Maki, and we also ordered a full plate of onion ring. And, I really underestimated this small sushi stall as turned out that the sushi tasted really good. My favorite one is Bella Luna Roll. But the Phoenix Roll also tasted good and the Salmon Maki tasted similar to the one served in Sushi Tei. The onion ring also tasted pretty yummy. And guess what? We only spent IDR 92k for this one-satisfying-culinary experience. Anyway, the presentations of the sushi were not as pretty as the pictures on the menu. But, if it tastes good, presentation is not really important, right? And forgive me for the lame pictures I took using my cellphone as I forgot to bring my camera.
another sushi time at ichiban
I think Ichiban Sushi is the sushi restaurant that I most frequently visit. On December 28, my sister and I grabbed a quick lunch in Ichiban Sushi Margo City. Following are the pictures taken.

family lunch
I always love family lunch for two reasons. The first one is because I love lunch more than breakfast and dinner. The second one is because it is a bonding time with my family, besides the fact that usually my parents will pay the bill, though.
On December 24, we had a lunch in Hot Cwie Mie Malang & Rollies. My mother and I ordered mie ayam (chicken noodle). We both love mie ayam, so it is for sure that we can tell which mie ayam taste good and which doesn't. And Hot Cwie Mie Malang's mie ayam tasted pretty good. I love the noodle which is just the right size. I also ordered green salad which did not dissapointing either. My dad and my sister ordered sirloin and tenderloin steak. I can't really tell the difference since I do not eat beef, and even when beef was still part of my diet, I was not really a fan of beef or steak. However, Rollies's steaks really looked good. And they tasted good too, said my sister. And by far, the pictures I took from Hot Cwie Mie Malang & Rollies are my favorite ever.

catching up
There are several posts that I've postponed to post. I know it is no good, but I haven't got the chance to use the internet for a while. But, there is no excuse for being a procrastinator, I know.
On December 10, boyfriend and I had a dinner in Mangkok Putih. It was actually the place where we had lunch before we decided to date each other. Too much information, eh? But, my boyfriend is kinda like to eat in Mangkok Putih since it is a noodle bar. But, I insisted him not to try the noodle this time. He ordered black-pepper beef with rice. And I ordered sapo tahu (tofu soup with vegetables and seafood) and pangsit goreng (fried dumpling). The presentations of the food were not pretty, not even close to the images displayed on its official site. And it tasted so-so, especially the sapo tahu. I am a big fan of sapo tahu and so far, the best sapo tahu I have ever tried are the ones served in Japos and The Duck King.
On Friday, December 23, which was the last day at work before Christmas, the Big Boss invited the whole team to have lunch in The Duck King. The food were delicately fine and delicious. My favorite ones were sapo tahu and fried tofu. I do not eat any kind of meat (beef, bacon, lamb or poultries), so I did not try its famous signature dish, Roast Duck. But it looked really delicious. Unfortunately, I could not take pictures of the food. So below are only the pictures of the food from Mangkok Putih. By the way, I like the wooden tables and stools in Mangkok Putih, it reminds me of the high-school cafetaria.

the new year's eve dinner
Contrary to the way I spent last year's new year's eve, on 31th December, me and my family and also dearly boyfriend had a dinner in MeatBar restaurant in Cilandak Townsquare and watched the fireworks on the street while being trapped in the unavoidable traffic. But it was fun. To simply being with your beloved ones on a special night is just priceless. Anyway, below are several pictures of the food we had for the dinner. Happy new year, happy people :)
