There are several posts that I've postponed to post. I know it is no good, but I haven't got the chance to use the internet for a while. But, there is no excuse for being a procrastinator, I know.
On December 10, boyfriend and I had a dinner in Mangkok Putih. It was actually the place where we had lunch before we decided to date each other. Too much information, eh? But, my boyfriend is kinda like to eat in Mangkok Putih since it is a noodle bar. But, I insisted him not to try the noodle this time. He ordered black-pepper beef with rice. And I ordered sapo tahu (tofu soup with vegetables and seafood) and pangsit goreng (fried dumpling). The presentations of the food were not pretty, not even close to the images displayed on its official site. And it tasted so-so, especially the sapo tahu. I am a big fan of sapo tahu and so far, the best sapo tahu I have ever tried are the ones served in Japos and The Duck King.
On Friday, December 23, which was the last day at work before Christmas, the Big Boss invited the whole team to have lunch in The Duck King. The food were delicately fine and delicious. My favorite ones were sapo tahu and fried tofu. I do not eat any kind of meat (beef, bacon, lamb or poultries), so I did not try its famous signature dish, Roast Duck. But it looked really delicious. Unfortunately, I could not take pictures of the food. So below are only the pictures of the food from Mangkok Putih. By the way, I like the wooden tables and stools in Mangkok Putih, it reminds me of the high-school cafetaria.
