groovy friday

Frankly speaking, it was not a groovy Friday night. It was a tiresome Friday night with almost unbearable traffic jam. But, you know, good food should always make your day better. And so, my friend and I went to Sushi Groove (which is the nearest sushi restaurant from my office) to grab some sushi and make our day brighter a bit. We ordered Golden Gate Roll (fresh salmon and avocado roll topped with fresh tuna), Tamago Kami and Salmon Maki.

another dinner at sushi groove

Yesterday, I had to stay late at the office. Thanks to the deadly deadline. Before I went home, my friend asked me to eat in Sushi Groove Setia Budi. So far, I have to say my favorite outlet is the one in Grand Indonesia because they provide many sofas, not just sushi bar.

forget the name, but this one is super spicy mushroom sushi

green salad, the cherry tomato is super fresh. love it!

it did make me feel better

Sushi Groove, August 28.
I always believe that the closest thing to happiness is food. For me, food is a remedy. Food gives me comfort. Food consoles my heart. And it did on August 28. There was this problem with my bank account as a sum of money from my account was debted by the bank for the transaction that was recorded as fail. After reporting this problem to the bank, I still felt a lil bit worry as the balance in my account decreased drastically. So, my sister asked to eat in Sushi Groove. And voila! The food, sushi, to be exact, did console my heart.

By the way, by the time I am writing this post, my money has been credited back by the bank :)

what is it with sushi tei and saturday night?

Sushi Groove, 23 July
This is the third time I failed to eat in Sushi Tei on saturday night. And so I went to Sushi Groove instead. I do not really like the interior for it is actually a sushi bar. So unlike Sushi Tei which still provides many personal tables along with its sushi bar, there are only few personal tables in Sushi Groove. We, means my boyfriend and I, ate in one of its sushi bar (a long table with stools, I don't really like seating in a stool). I think it's the reason why I did not want to linger longer in there besides the fact that we ate near its closing hour. The service was okay. The waiters constantly filled our empty glasses with free-refill ocha. And they were friendly too. We ordered three dishes. The first one is seaweed salad. The dressing was just so so, definitely not comparable to Sushi Tei's seaweed salad. However, it's topped with paper-thin bonito flakes which was super tasty! We also ordered chicken curry udon. I gotta be honest, it did not look so appealing. But it tasted pretty tasty, so my boyfriend said. However, the best dish is the last one served, that is the arashiyama sushi (gindara fish sushi). It was so tasty and it was also topped with paper-thin bonito flakes! I think arashiyama is gonna be one of my favorite sushi.

see? the udon does not look so appealing, right?

but after you mix it, it looks normal though
