Sushi Groove, 23 July
This is the third time I failed to eat in Sushi Tei on saturday night. And so I went to Sushi Groove instead. I do not really like the interior for it is actually a sushi bar. So unlike Sushi Tei which still provides many personal tables along with its sushi bar, there are only few personal tables in Sushi Groove. We, means my boyfriend and I, ate in one of its sushi bar (a long table with stools, I don't really like seating in a stool). I think it's the reason why I did not want to linger longer in there besides the fact that we ate near its closing hour. The service was okay. The waiters constantly filled our empty glasses with free-refill ocha. And they were friendly too. We ordered three dishes. The first one is seaweed salad. The dressing was just so so, definitely not comparable to Sushi Tei's seaweed salad. However, it's topped with paper-thin bonito flakes which was super tasty! We also ordered chicken curry udon. I gotta be honest, it did not look so appealing. But it tasted pretty tasty, so my boyfriend said. However, the best dish is the last one served, that is the arashiyama sushi (gindara fish sushi). It was so tasty and it was also topped with paper-thin bonito flakes! I think arashiyama is gonna be one of my favorite sushi.
