A couple of weeks ago, I had a lunch in Takigawa Setiabudi One. It was my first time. I always notice that Takigawa (the one in Pondok Indah Mall) is always packed with people especially on Saturday night. And so is Takigawa in Setiabudi One. When I was having my lunch there, the restaurant was packed with many yuppies trying to enjoy their meals with friends or co-workers. I kinda like the ambience and interior of the restaurant. But, since it was Friday noon, the restaurant was too noisy because you know people just can't simply just eating while having a lunch on Friday noon, right? They were like chattering all the time, including me though. So, I felt a bit uncomfortable giving that the restaurant isn't too spacy.
Anyway, my friend and I ordered three kinds of meal, Sule Maki (small portion consists of 4 pieces of sushi), Wakame Salad, and Fufu Fafa Roll (regular portion consists of 8 pieces of sushi). The first meal that was served by the waitress was Wakame Salad (vegetables and seaweed salad). And I was simply contented when putting the fresh and tasty dressing of the salad into my mouth. I must say it is my number two favorite wakame salad. The difference of Takigawa's wakame salad with that of Sushi Tei's is the dressing. While Sushi Tei uses vinegar (and maybe a bit of soy), Takigawa uses soy and mayonnaise, whereas for the vegetables, the both serve pretty much the sama veggies and off course the wakame. And one more thing why I love Takigawa's wakame salad, it is topped with bonita flakes. Now you get it, right?
The second menu served was Sule Maki (salmon skin, avocado, cucumber topped with crabstick and tobiko in the house's special mayonnaise). The salmon skin is crispy and tasty. The sushi is pretty big. So by the time I ate the second piece of Sule Maki, I was pretty full already. And then I remembered that we still have Fufu Fafa roll. My friend said that Fufu Fafa Roll is really tasty and her favorite, to which I replied "Whatever you say, I can't eat anymore sushi". Maybe because the restaurant was too packed or there were lack of waitress, the Fufu Fafa Roll (crabstick & cucumber topped with grilled eel, tobiko flaming salmon & chicken floos) was served 40 minutes after we ordered it, and still felt like don't want to try it even a bit. But then, I was tempted by the tempura crunch topping. I ate the tempura crunch. Tasty. I tried one sushi. Man, it was good. I'm not really into fusion sushi, my favorite sushi is kani/nigiri, but these two fusion sushi I tried in Kanigawa kind of change my preference. So, I am so gonna come back to Takigawa.
